Here is a simple animated banner that I created by using a supplied PDF of an actual print ad. The banner ad is designed for the website that has a white background. The banner was tweaked in Illustrator and finalized in Fireworks.

DragonflyWorkshops.org Website Revamp

Dragonflyworkshops.org is an online learning community website for Earth Expeditions and the GFP and AIP Master’s program at Miami University. The Site is designed on ruby on rails. I revised the look that is completely css based for speed. I also fixed and tweaked compatibility so that it works in all browsers without serious hacks. (Read IE8 compatibility). This was the first phase of the redesign. Next we are adding a ePortfoltio section for the students where they can build/create their final project as well as share resumes with potential employers. The update was designed in Adobe Illustrator and hand coded using standards compliant CSS.

Manatee Interactive Media Poster Creator

Here is the intro movie (non-functional) for the poster creator that our team built for the (6) 32″ touchscreens at the Cincinnati Zoo in the Manatee Exhibit. It allows zoo visitors to create manatee based conservation poster that can be emailed to friends and families. I did all the flash graphics and animations and overall look for the Adobe Air based flash interactive. The design work was done in Adobe Illustrator, Flash Professional and compiled in Flash Builder as an Adobe Air App. This interactive is a stand alone application at the zoo and an online flash interactive at wildresearch.org.

Here is a email created for Worship Facilities Superbook Promo. The email was designed in InDesign due to previous work created by another designer. They wanted to keep the same look and feel as the print media. The final work was broken up and combined with HTML to email.

Mark Dalton Insurance Web Banner

Here is a web banner I created for Mark Dalton insurance. I did the initial concepts using Illustrator and Photoshop. The final animated GIF was assembled in Adobe Fireworks.

Shaman Badges

For one of the interactive at the Cincinnati Zoo, I created Shaman Badges. The badges are based on actual carvings of shaman hidden in the Discovery Forrest at the Cincinnati Zoo. After taking the photographs of the carvings, I created the design using a combination of Illustrator and Photoshop. The Ant queen was created from a B&W illustration that I converted to color and gave it depth. The final products was used in an Adobe Air app created by my co-worker.

Dynamic Control University

Dynamic Control University was created to be the industry first online training program for consumer electronic retail sales associates. Built on the Lectora platform, Dynamic Control University (DCU) has educated over 7000 direct marketing, product evangelists. An ASP database driven management system was created to manage the program by tracking participation by store, sales territory and month.

For Dynamat.com, a strategic plan was created for Dynamic Control’s online marketing presence. This included a new website look, creation of a web store and a secure corporate section for Dynamic Control employees, domestic dealers and international distributors that allow them to access files, download documents and artwork files and administrate the online dealer locator.

Arc Audio Dealer Locator

For ArcAudio.com, an ASP database driven dealer locator was built. Included is a secure, web based administration that allows Arc Audio staff to update the dealer locator without requiring knowledge of html. Changes made via web interface are immediately active on the site.

Audiogearreviews.com is the first online car audio resource dedicated to delivering factual, relevant up-to-date information about products, technology and installations to potential car audio buyers. The site is designed using a combination of ASP and PHP language. The look is formatting using CSS and incorporates RSS feeds for news, product announcements and upcoming events. The site also contains a subwoofer enclosure calculator written in JavaScript.
